Saturday Night Genealogy Fun- Family Home Movies and Videotapes

1)  What home movies and/or videotapes of your families do you have - either passed down from earlier generations or your own?

2)  What have you done with them?  Are they still on reels, or have they been digitized?  Have you put them on a website, or in the cloud?

3)  If you haven't, what do you plan to do with them?  Will you digitize them?  Who will you pass them on to?

My maternal grandmother has many home videos of me and my siblings as babies. I couldn't even tell you how she has because it is an enormous number.
I told my mom if her mom had films of her as a child, but she said: "as a teenager, but not a child".

I don't think my dad's mother has videos him at all, but I'll have to ask him.  Fingers cross that him he has a few! 😃

My granny has cassette tape recorders from many years ago. She has a collection of them. My family doesn't have a lot of home videos, but my mother did film me and my siblings when we were toddlers.

I haven't done much to store the videos, but some of them are on a flash drive, from my parent's wedding anniversary video.

I don't have a plan YET, but I'm considering digitizing them and making it a project like will have to get done this summer. 😎

Thank you, Randy for this great idea. I better get started today!😊
