52 Ancestors In 52 Weeks: Week 39- Map It Out

This week's prompt is "Map it Out". I will map out an ancestor migration. As families relocate to different places, they create new FAN clubs (Family/Friends, Associates, Neighbors).  The image below shows my great-grandfather, Anthony Armstead, residences and his sibling's residences in Brooklyn. By doing this I start to understand how closely they lived to get together.  This is not a finished product, but just a start. I used a tool called Google MyMaps. I first started using it in March of 2018 but forgot over time. Now after Family History Fanatic's video, featuring Melissa Finlay at Boundless Genealogy, I started using it again. So one of  my questions is why did the Armstead siblings move to Brooklyn? (assuming they still lived in VA). What did they do after their parents died?  Who told them under their wing? Lots of questions that I hope will be answered.

My father went to Michigan to just visit his friends, 2 months after was at his mother's funeral. He went to Macomb County, Michigan to see them. From his account, he said he was nervous, and when he walked through the door they said, "You look like Uncle George". Many people came to see him. The family showed him pictures and gave him a couple of them to keep. Th...
