It's Saturday Night -
time for more Genealogy Fun!
Your mission, should you decide to accept it (cue the Mission Impossible! music) is to:
1) Write down which of your ancestors that you have met in person (yes, even if you were too young to remember them).
2) Tell us their names, where they lived, and their relationship to you in a blog post, or in comments to this post, or in comments on Facebook.
*Updated August 6th 2025*
My parents and maternal grandmother lived in a multitude of places. To protect my grandmother's privacy, I will not include her below.
My paternal grandfather lived in one of the boroughs in New York City and lived in two cities in Michigan.
My paternal grandmother, who resided in her hometown in Mississippi, and three cities in Michigan.
I have only "met" five of my ancestors. I was a bit reluctant to participate in this week's SNGF since the number was very low, but since I saw others sharing their results, I was willing to do it.
My paternal grandfather died 20 years before my birth. My older sister, who is 9 years older than I, would have "met" seven ancestors (2 parents, 3 grandparents, 2 great-grandparents).
