 It's Saturday Night again - 

time for some more Genealogy Fun!!



1)  Make up your own "You Might be a Genealogist if..." sayings. One or more.  Lots.  The more the merrier.  

2)  Put it in your own blog post, in a comment to this post, or in a Facebook post.  Please leave a link in a comment to this post.


*  You might be a genealogist if ... you are the caretaker of your family photos.

* You might be a genealogist if ... you attend genealogy conferences, workshops, webinars, etc. 

* You might be a genealogist if ... you have a collection of genealogy-related books.

* You might be a genealogist if ... you buy DNA tests for everyone in your family.

* You might be a genealogist if ... most of your travel plans are visits to the archives, courthouses, etc.

 * You might be a genealogist... if you stayed up until 5:00 in the morning to find that one record, person, or answer to your question. 

* You might be a genealogist... if you have a mug or t-shirt saying, “I seek dead people.” 

* You might be a genealogist... if you missed breakfast, lunch, and or dinner in order to find that darn record.

 *You might be a genealogist... if have a researched a favorite line or ancestor more than the others. 

*You might be a genealogist... if the many items (house decor, jewelry, plates) in which you own have something to do with family history.

*You might be a genealogist ... if you plan the family gatherings and reunions.

*You might be a genealogist... if you accounts to Ancestry.com, MyHeritage, FamilySearch.org, and FindMyPast.

Intentions & Reflections

For two years, I put this blog on private as I’d no longer had the willpower to push out blog posts the way that I did six years ago. I write a little more about this in my blog post Why Do You Do… ?  Recently, I have revamped my blog. I have unpublished posts that didn’t reflect who I was then or who I am now, or those that felt too personal to share ‘out there’. I also removed posts I wrote  just for the sake of posting content and main taining an audience,   even when  inauthentic to me. It means more to me that others feel the value and quality of what I share rather than the quantity. I am not sure how often I will post, all I know is when the inspiration and curiosity strike, that’s when it will occur.
